Overview

Position Summary 


The Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the dealership’s vehicle inventory. This role supports daily lot operations by arranging vehicles, assisting with vehicle movement, performing basic inspections, and ensuring the dealership’s outdoor and indoor display areas meet OEM and dealership standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced dealership environment. 

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities 

  • Organize and maintain the dealership lot by arranging vehicles neatly and safely according to dealership guidelines.
  • Move vehicles between the lot, service department, detail bay, and showroom as required. 
  • Inspect incoming vehicles for damage and ensure they are clean, fueled, and ready for display.
  • Assist with vehicle staging for customer test drives, sales appointments, and dealership events. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of the lot, including snow removal from vehicles, cleaning windshields, and ensuring overall curb appeal.
  • Support the sales team by delivering vehicles for customer presentations or delivery appointments.
  • Install dealer plates, window stickers, hangtags, and other merchandising materials on vehicles.
  • Conduct regular lot checks to verify vehicle locations and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with transporting vehicles to and from offsite locations as needed. 
  • Ensure adherence to all dealership safety guidelines and OEM standards. 
  • All other duties as assignedby leadership.


 
Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in automotive lot operations or a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to handle a physically active role.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
