Overview

Position Summary

 

The Collision Detailer is responsible for cleaning, finishing, and preparing vehicles for delivery after collision repairs within an OEM‑certified dealership environment. This role ensures all vehicles meet OEM cleanliness and presentation standards by performing thorough interior and exterior detailing. The Collision Detailer supports the collision center team by maintaining high-quality workmanship, efficient workflow, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform full vehicle detailing after collision repairs, including washing, drying, vacuuming, polishing, and interior cleaning.
  • Buff, polish, or clay‑bar vehicle surfaces to remove imperfections and restore shine when required.
  • Clean glass, plastics, trim, tires, and wheels to OEM standards.
  • Inspect vehicles for detailed quality and ensure all work meets dealership and OEM expectations prior to delivery.
  • Communicate any issues with repaired surfaces, paint finishes, or interior components to management.
  • Maintain detailing equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemical inventory.
  • Ensure detailing work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.
  • Follow all dealership, OEM, and safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals and PPE.
  • Assist collision staff with vehicle movement, staging, and preparation as needed.
  • Support efficient production flow by managing multiple detailing assignments and meeting delivery timelines.
  • All other duties as assigned by leadership. 

Qualifications

 

  • Previous automotive detailing experience preferred; dealership or collision center experience is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of detailing methods, cleaning chemicals, and polishing/buffing techniques.
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues in appearance or finish.
  • Good time‑management skills with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work with tools or equipment for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

CAD $18.00 - CAD $23.00 /Hr.
